The Bottom Line — For Parents

The Bottom Line — For Parents

Let’s face it – college is one of the biggest financial investments you’ll ever make in your daughter’s future, and upwards of 50% of college students do not graduate in four years! (See reports and stats here.)

That’s the dollars and cents case for providing your daughter with a guide who can support and challenge her.  But college is about more than getting the grades and graduating.  It’s about coming into her own as a person, as a woman.

Girls often lack mentors.  There’s traditionally no one to support them in taking on a scary challenge, whether it’s competing for an internship or grant, taking a tough class or applying to grad school.  As a result, they often under-achieve – and run the risk of winding up chronically depressed, frustrated and angry over opportunities lost.

What if you’d had someone along the way to help you see your gifts and walk you through your fears so that you could grab some of the great opportunities that came your way – things you never believed you could to?

By surrounding students with encouragement, optimism, reality checks, accountability, possibility, a sounding board for the new ideas and knowledge they’re gaining, and support to help them connect with the resources they need to resolve issues and attain their goals, a coaching environment inspires them to succeed.
